We got the where the Lava goes over the road, and a safe place to take pictures of the Coastal Rim...
No more driving, just a very long walk to where the lava is still spewing into the ocean.
We did not have time for such a day long trek.
We met and chatted there with a very neat French family.
They sold everything and are touring the world in 15 months.
I would love to do that!
I wish I had taken a picture of them but here is their adventures documented on their blog.
