I must say, I loved The Big Island and would have loved to spend more time there...
But we were excited for our next destination.
Oahu
It was kinda neat being on the same island Justine is going to college.
She is really a lucky lucky gal!
This is Honolulu.
A lot different from the quiet, layed back Kona...
The quaint 'Bed and Breakfast' was replaced by a city apartment type 'resort'.
With no resort feel to it at all.
It was a 10mn walk to the beach among shops, malls, restaurants and buzy city-touristy life.
We had 2 views: Mountain and Ocean.
We also had no internet available only for a high price.
On our 1st night,
we took that 10mn walk to go down to the beach to watch some rich guy's fireworks
launched from 3 big boats.
The beach was packed!
