Family Song

Wonderful and Marvelous is Jesus to me.
Sweeter than honey on a honeycomb is he.

Jesus is real
He'll never fail
I will serve him faithfully thoughout eternity.

History:
This is the song Mike and my Mission President taught us while in England under their care.
It was their family song.
We have made it our own since we joined lives.

Memoires d'un vie...

This is my Grandma: Henrillette Vanaquer, she is 97.
Everyone thinks that I look like her when she was my age.
So I guess here are a few photos of how I might look like in 50 years,
if I live that long!

Her hands
Hands that have tickled
Hands that have played
Hands that have fed
Hands that have healed
Hands that have served
Hands that have labored
Hands that have suffered
Hands that have comforted
Hands that have sacrificed
Hands that have received
Hands that have loved
Hands that are loved

Ses mains
Mains qui ont chatouille
Mains qui ont joue
Mains qui ont nouri
Mains qui ont gueri
Mains qui ont servi
Mains qui ont travaille
Mains qui ont reconforte
Mains qui ont sacrifier
mains qui ont recu
Mains qui ont aime
Mains qui sont aimees

Poem from dad to his girls

Justine, for a school project, has to gather lots of different types of poems, she asked her Dad to do one... She is using also this picture of them from 2 years ago to put with it . I think it is beautiful and tender... This is what he wrote.

It's Late

It's late and the hour is nigh
to tuck you in and say goodbye

One more precious memory more valuable than pearls
one more precious day with my sweet little girls

The music you make is as sweet as can be
your talents and your gifts are so heavenly

The peace of each moment can be stolen so fast
If your time was cut short leaving only your past

Each time that I hug you tight and kiss you good night
There is peace in knowing that you're safe and alright

For my little girls will grow up and move on
But my love and concern will never be gone

Maybe someday when a fine new mother you'll be
you'll understand how I feel, and then you will see

And so I must treasure each day that I can
for eventually you'll grow up and find a young man

While I'm sure you will want him to be rich, fine and strong
I will have my own list too, and it will be much more long!

For he must make it so I sleep easy
knowing my girl is safe as can be

So for now that day may seem so very far far away
remember that a father's love is here to stay

Life is...

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

Mother Teresa
