Corn Maze @ P-6 Farms

Amelie's dive team had a little outing this Saturday.
We all met at this little farm.
They had popcorn food and a few country fair kinda games.

The weather again was so perfect!

This is the first time I go to a real corn maze.
It is a lot of fun, if you consider being lost fun! Haha!
Besides that we had a murder to uncover.

The maze has tones of clues we had to gather.
Mike, Chris, Sarah and I stuck together.
A few times I couldn't see Mike and started to panic!
I do not have the built in sense of direction guys seam to have!

I was shouting:
"MIKE! MIKE! You better not lose me!!"
&
"WAIT FOR ME"
&
"Come Back and get me!"

I'm sure I made a fool of myself!
We did survive, we did get out, and we solved the murder mystery.
And I can assure you I had nothing to do with it all!
Chris and Mike were the MEN!

We had a very fun evening.
But I would never go in a maze without Mike!
Ps: They had a watcher with a walkie talkies in case people get lost, which happens, very easily!

It's not as easy as it might seam...
"What is easy is to get lost!" says Amelie.

Instructions
Of we go!
Going around in circles?
Taking in the view. Looks much easier from here!
Goofy closed eyes...
Getting the Clues
Goofy Mike!
Look what the Farmer found in the Maze!
Where some of us ate dinner after all the fun...

Peaceful Momments

I take Amelie to Diving once a week.
I love the drive as it is through the country.
I love going by the longhorn cows and the horses.

I take Chloe with me and we roam behind the pool where Amelie practices.
Chloe loves those times as this is another chance
for her to explore and run free.
I love it too, the Texas heat gets a tad cooler, often a breeze will be present
and that makes the experience delightful!

I love my peaceful moments spent here.
Sometimes I bring a book.
Sometimes I talk on the phone with a friend or family.
Sometimes I pull take lots of pictures
Sometimes I ponder.
But always I enjoy just being in nature, in the country with just my dog.
It reminds me of my childhood.

The place is for sale and I've never seen anyone here...
Other than a sweet horse that will come and check us out occasionally.

He shares his water with her!

I just wish I new his name!

Dive Camp and Extended Family Time in Utah

Emric got to go to Utah for a BYU diving camp for a week.
He also hang out with the Browns and my big Brother Jean-Claude and his wife Nat.
He had a lot of fun going to Saint George with them for a few days
and visit the beautiful southern UtahNational and state parks!
Oh... how I wish I could have been there too...

The only pictures I have of his trip are these ones Nephi emailed me.
This is the night the guys went out to eat burgers and guy food,
with Nephi and the one precious little girl Kaelyn.

A full Saturday

We got up and left the house before 8am.
We went and put the 2d coat of paint at the Animal Shelter.

We then went to Amelie's diving pool for her Home meet.
And we volunteered for 5-6 hours.
We did scoring for 4 and Mike helped with the computers stuff.
Even Emric came and helped with giving out the rewards.

After her Swim Meet, we had a 30mn brake at home.
Then we drove almost an hour for her 2d Gymnastic Meet.
By then, I was so glad Mike was driving
'cause I was getting a little tired and was able to take a little nap.
Poor Mike did not feel so good, and after his 60-hour-work-week, he was also very tired.
By 9pm, I just wanted to lay down!
Even if it was exhausting, it was all good.
We were together.

Amelie did very well.
She took 1st in her division on the vault.
3rd on the bars.
She fell of the beam :( after doing her practice routine with no problem, just a few minutes before...

A very full day!

Regional Dive Meet & Teenagers

The meet was over 2 days.
They did 8 dives on Friday and 3 today.
Emric did pretty good...
He came in 7th, among 16 boys, only 0.1 points behind the guy who took 6th.

Last year, there was no way he could have done a meet!
He had that going-through-puberty-awkward-growing-teen-boy thing going on.
He is finally, this year, gaining better control and confidence over his body.
This is all very promising since he has 2 more years of perfecting his dives.
He's just going to get better and better.
Can we say maybe some college scholarship money down the road?

EVERY PARENTS DREAM

These are all from the meet yesterday.
Because today, Emric forgot to text us the time the boys were starting!
He texted us when he was done!
We still have to work on the phone thing with him.
We pay for it so we can communicate with YOU, WHEN we need to!
It's not just for your entertainment!

District Dive Meet

Emric is getting better and better...
5th Place in District!
He qualifies for Regionals!
All his dives are on Google+
Way to go son!

Emric had such a good day!

He did well on a make up French test
Made regionals
And was so excited when he realised his school backpack,
which was sitting in a puddle of water, had a waterproof bottom!
It was so good to see him so happy and grateful for big and little things!
He is a great happy kid. Has always been.

Sorry the pictures are so bad! I don't know what happpend I think it was the really intence humidity...

Awesome dives Amelie!

We were at Amelie's dive meet all afternoon today.
She is now diving with the 10-12 year old.
She did awesome!
She took 1st place in both the 1 meter and the 3 meter events!
This was her third meet with her Lonestar diving team.
This is all very promising!

You Got Some Nice Moves Kid!

Yesterday, Emric had a 11 dive meet.
He is finally gaining more control over his body and losing some of that teen boy awkwardness...
Yeah!

I love to see my kids involved in good stuff!
As I was watching the coach's interaction with the kids,
I felt immense gratitude for good, involved, caring, kid-inspirering, dedicated teachers.
They truly are doing a wonderful service to our kids, and play a big role in who they become.
They truly make a difference for good  in our kids lives...

Thank you! Good coaches and teachers everywhere!

Saturday Swim Meet, Ikea & Lincoln

Brunch at Ikea after the dive meet!
This is Amelie's second meet, it was downtown at a university.
She came in 4th in her age group among 18 girls! Not bad!
She kinda was almost tied with 3rd.

For our date Mike and I went to see 'Lincoln' the movie. It was long but really good!
What a man with a mission who truly has a place in History!!
