Kirtland

On of our favorite places to go to in Ohio was Kirkland.
There, we would visit our 1st LDS Temple ever built.
We would visit houses and grounds where our Pioneer Religious ancestors first walked.

A beautiful and quiet place, ideal for pondering gratitude and remembering.
Well, that is if you don't have some obnoxious kids running around trying to keep them under control!
Right kids?
They are so cute though, with their adorable smiling faces...
Why am I not smiling and adorable like them?
Judging from my picture... I don't look peaceful or grateful!
What do you think?
More like frustrated and/or exhausted?

Mowing the Lawn

Lexi was our lawn mowing guy.
He got paid $20-30 to do our huge lawn that took almost 3 hours to mow!

Papi was visiting from France for a month.

This was a neet Caves/Australian Farm/Zoo located in Kentuky.
Lots of Fun and learning about that awesome country.

The Johnsons

Shortly after Baby and Mom got home...
I look like I was still in pain!
It lasted about a week...
But it was so wonderful having this little bundle of joy in our home!
Here our good friends the Johnsons came to see us.
And Lasah who will become Amelie's FAVORITE babysitter of all times!
Lasah now has her own little bundle of joy, 9 years later...
I beleive Sarah was about to become pregnant soon with Oliver!

Nice to Meet You Amelie!

The much anticipated day, has arrived!
Amelie graces our family, making us complete.

Amelie's birth went very well.
I had some of those blessed numbing drugs.
Unfortunately the anesthesiologist punctured my spine during the epidural,
which gave me pain for the next week in my head and neck!
It was so bad I could barely breast feed Amelie or hold her.
But thankfully Mike was home most of the time,
his hours had gotten cut back quite a bit!
He took good care of us.

Also, Justine was more than happy to play mommy with this tiny new baby!
So much better than a doll!
She loved it so much and was quite good at it too...
She was actually amazing!
In the middle of the night she would get up as soon as Amelie would wake up.
Get her out of the crib.
Bring her to me to breastfeed.
Come back to put her back to bed.
If she couldn't get her back to sleep,
she would take her to sleep with her in her own bed!
She always had someone to hold her.
Which kinda made her a little spoiled to say the lest!
Amelie was I think 5 or 4 months old when I gave her a bath myself.
It had always been Mike or Justine doing the honors!

Alexi was also a good big brother...
He would occasionally stop from being a bussy body,
hold her or help keep her entertained.

Mike took her everywhere!
He got laid off and was without work for a few months.
Well, he even took her to job interviews!

I need to find and get my journal out to be more accurate
about time and weight and stuff like that.
Before birth:  So happy and so excited to meet you! After Birth: so tired and so in pain...
Meet big brother Alexi
Meet big brother Emric
Sweet Angel fresh from Heaven
Meet mom-like sister Justine
Meet Sarah
Sarah brought me some of my favorite foods.
Yeah hospital food is not what I would call gourmet!
