I attended a BYU Football Game!!!!

Yep!
After 24 years of marriage I finally attended a BYU football game with Mike!
If anyone knows me, I have very little no interest in watching College Football.
Never have.

When Mike and I were newly weds, I almost attended a BYU game in Provo
with our mission friend Mike Perkins.
I ended up staying in Mike's dorm room reading a book because
I wasn't feeling up to sitting in those uncomfortable bleachers.
[stomach cramps were the excuse]
And again, because I wasn't interested.

So here I am, even looking forward to spending a little time with my Man doing what he loves!

What made it better is that I had my girl friend there too.
She is as clueless as I am about what is going on on the field!
As you can tell with her very puzzled look below!
The weather was P E R F E C T!

Mike, Chris & Sarah even went all out with BYU outfits!
Unfortunately, our little row of BYU supporters were sitting in the opposite team bleachers!!!!

A W K W A R D !

We could see in the distance on the opposite side of us all the BYU fans screaming
and getting excited together.
What made it even more awkward was that at the End BYU won.
Here we were, leaving with all the defeated Houstonian fans!

Fungus & Interesting Little Bug

Just because I like mushrooms...

I found this little guy while taking pictures of some shrooms!
Isn't he very interesting looking?

This is the Place Where Heaven Meets Earth

Grateful.

I love this place.

My Castle.

Sick Raccoon Encounter

We stumbled on our path upon this very disorientated raccoon.
We saw him a couple of times in a row.
The second time, he had a seizure.
Poor thing!

After a little google research, I found this article about the current raccoon distemper in Texas.

Once Upon a Time...

Once upon a time, during our morning walk.
We stumbled across an enchanted discovery.
2 Fairy Villages!

All I wanted was to take a few pictures, but a tragic disaster happened!
Chloe has a very investigative nature...
Too investigative.

Fairy Village # 1

The Fairy Village # 2 before Chloe the Giant Monster approached:

Fairy Village # 2 after Chloe the Giant Monster came by:

Lucky for the fairies, they were all out busy making fall happen.
No one was injured in the tragic disaster!
Village # 1 took in all the fairies from Village # 2.

They were a little crowded, but grateful!

An Evening with Lionel Richie

Lionel Richie came to the Woodlands for a concert at the Pavilion.
There are a lot of concerts throwout the year, we select a few to attend.
Some are free in the mezzanine.
 Sometimes we find cheep tickets.
Often we camp in the lawn next to the Pavilion along
the-tree-lit-up-river where we can hear everything.
We even bring Chloe sometimes!
We recently found a spot where we can actually see the giant screen!
It's so romantic and wonderful!

Tonight we met our friends the Williams.
We had perfect weather.
And a perfect wonderful Singer!
Oh... the flooding of memories and feelings from my teen years!

I think I knew all the songs he sang but like 3 or 4!

LOVE - LOVE - LOVE

Fall Flowwers

Have I mentioned how much I love my daily walks with Chloe?
It gives me peace and perspective.
What a beautiful gift Mother Earth is...
Our pets are pretty great gifts too...
Even if I complain about the hair everywhere in the house!

I love finding wild flowers, bringing them home to enjoy for the next week.

Week-end Enlightenment

I love watching conference at home.
What a blessing it is to listen to our wise leaders, Prophet and Apostles.

I also look forward to spiritual enlightenment every 6 months.
And enjoy reviewing each talk during those 6 month on my walks and RS lessons.

Here are some of my favorite quotes:

"Jesus Christ heals body, mind and spirit and his healing begins with faith."
Elder Duches

more than you comprehend"

“Through any illness or difficult challenge,
there is still much in life to be hopeful about & grateful for.”

when we are on the Lord's errand."

There is no superior career and no amount of money, authority, or public acclaim
that can exceed the ultimate rewards of family."

but He does always give us what we need."
