Aunt Shirley & Crab Legs

Mike's Aunt Shirley came to see Justine of on her mission.

We are so happy she came for a week.

We love her sweet, giving, selfless spirit.

She is tinny but has a heart as big as the universe...

She has always shown love to us and our kids.

She never forgets a birthday, Christmas, or an anniversary!

She is amazing.

We LOVE her to bits!

Justine wanted Crab legs for her last going out meal.

So she got lots of crab legs!

(So did I)

Christmas

 Our tree and one of the 3 baby Jesus made by the 3 older kids, years and years ago!

I believe this one is Justine's masterpiece! :)

Chloe loving her huge gigantic Christmas chew bone from her girlfriend Libby!

And that is only half of it! Libby has the other half!

We had our traditional homemade waffles for brunch after we opened presents.

The best part of my Christmas were 7 cute little love cards everyone wrote to me after
I wasn't feeling all the love from a certain someone.

I was given these by sweet Justine when I got back from a 1hour1/2 walk with Chloe all by myself.

-Yeah... Sometimes, as in all relationships, feelings can get hurt. Even on Christmas day-

I'm only posting the fun pet ones.
The other ones I will cherish for years to come! :)

Alexi Is Here

 Alexi arrived today for the Holidays!

We are happy to have him stay with us for a good amount of time. 

He is staying for a month.

There will be more photos in future posts.

I don't have nearly as many photos of the boys as I do the girls!

We are having great weather!

It's a change for him coming from the cold winters of Ohio!

Sick Raccoon Encounter

We stumbled on our path upon this very disorientated raccoon.

We saw him a couple of times in a row.

The second time, he had a seizure.

Poor thing!

After a little google research, I found this article about the current raccoon distemper in Texas.

Once Upon a Time...

Once upon a time, during our morning walk.

2 Fairy Villages!

All I wanted was to take a few pictures, but a tragic disaster happened!
Chloe has a very investigative nature...
Too investigative.

Lucky for the fairies, they were all out busy making fall happen.

No one was injured in the tragic disaster!

Village # 1 took in all the fairies from Village # 2.

They were a little crowded, but grateful!

Peaceful Momments

I take Amelie to Diving once a week.

I love the drive as it is through the country. 

I love going by the longhorn cows and the horses.

I take Chloe with me and we roam behind the pool where Amelie practices. 

Chloe loves those times as this is another chance 

for her to explore and run free.

I love it too, the Texas heat gets a tad cooler, often a breeze will be present 

and that makes the experience delightful!

I love my peaceful moments spent here.

Sometimes I bring a book.

Sometimes I talk on the phone with a friend or family.

Sometimes I pull take lots of pictures

Sometimes I ponder.

But always I enjoy just being in nature, in the country with just my dog.

It reminds me of my childhood.

The place is for sale and I've never seen anyone here...

Other than a sweet horse that will come and check us out occasionally.

I just wish I new his name!
