San Antonio Sea World

One the 4th Of July Week-end, Mike had a couple of days off.

We needed to pick up Emric and his friend in San Antonio from his first 

EFY 'Especially For Youth' Conference.

So we decided to take the girls to Sea World.

After a hard week at work, Mike can't keep awake trying to do work during our 

dinner at Panera Bread...

We bought 4 passes to Sea World.

Mike, Justine, Amelie and I spent Thursday and Friday there having a lot of Fun.

Chloe waited for us in the free-ventilated-clean-shaded-kennels provided by the Park.

We spent a lot of time in the water park riding the rides.

We also saw a couple of shows. 

The place was very crowded.

We decided to go back when the weather is not so hot to do all the shows.

We saw the Shamu show 'One Ocean' and 'Azul'. 

Both Excellent!

While eating lunch at a restaurant on our way home on Saturday,
we tied Chloe to a tree right where we could see her.
The server gave her a bowl of water.
We put a blanket out and the kids relaxed with her after eating their meal.
The restaurant owner, after asking for permission,
took pictures of the kids so she could put them on their website to show
that it was a relaxing and family friendly place to be - just like home...
Chloe and the kids are somewhere famous on a little Texan village website! :)

Hanauma Bay

Supposedly one of the best places to snorkel on Oahu. 

I found the water too choppy, and the clarity was not that great. 

You had to go over the coral barrier for clearer waters. 

We tried but the waves were too rough...

So we left and decided to keep an eye on the surf reports and come back another time...

(It gets very busy, go early or later in the day)

While there, a very very sad thing happened! 

I lost my wedding band!

Fortunately, my engagement ring was not lost. 

It has a diamond that has been in Mike's family for generations.

I was so happy I did not lost it! 

I would have been devastated!

The band will be easy to replace.

My wedding band is somewhere in here...

In France every town has their weird pigeon lady or man.

Well, I've got my own Pigeon man!

They were so annoying - almost walking on me!

And Mike gave them all our snack food!!

Peanuts, granola, pistachios, cranberries, almonds...

Really?

This one pigeon just had to be in the picture! 

It was kinda fun watching them interact.

My Recovering Drugged-up Baby

Chloe got her teeth cleaned today. 

I also went to the dentist. I had a cavity filled.

No Fun!

Here is my baby after I picked her up from the vet.

Renaissance Hotel, Wi-fi, and the Best Meal in Aruba!

We stayed 3 nights at the Renaissance hotel by Marriott.

We did not need a car. We were close to restaurants & shopping.

I loved the little shuttle boat that came in the lobby, 

every 15 min to take you to the Renaissance Island, 

so fun!.

No worries Mike didn't really get hurt... 

Just forgot he had shoulder surgery only 2 months ago!

Those flamingos where very tame...

as I was filming, this is where I got attacked by those nasty mosquitoes!

Our Little Free Wi-fi corner in the lobby by the pool...
Where we did email, facetime, skype and a little blogging
to keep in touch with our friends and family.

While in Oranjestad this is was my favorite meal!
At an Indian Restaurant.
Only $8 for the best Chicken Tandoori I've every had!
We went there twice, it was that good to me, and not overpriced!

Food and groceries are way expensive there!
Must bring your own toiletries and Sun care products!
Like a bottle of sunscreen, we get for $5 in the States was $15 in Aruba!

Relaxing on The Renaissance's Private Island Beach

A little shuttle boat takes you for a 10-15 min ride to the hotel's Private island just off the coast. 

We had a great time relaxing and snorkeling! 

Mike was a trooper, he is not a big water-sport guy... 

But it was so awesome! 

Snorkeling is on of my favorite things to do.

Perfect weather, water, and some awesome beautiful fish!

It's like being in an aquarium, but better!

November 9th

For our date tonight, on this special day,

My man took me to Flemings Restaurant.

A very fancy & $$$ place but delicious!

I had Tuna Ahi and heavenly Creme Brulee 

Mike had a melt-in-your-mouth-Stake and a heart-attack-Lava-Chocolate-cake.

He had a gift $50 card that help pay for the hefty bill.

We finished the night watching funny Mormon parodies!

Senior Recognition Night

Well, as if I haven't posted enough about Justine, here's more!
And it's not over yet!

At Church we had a Senior Appreciation Soiree.

Justine made a table about her.

They all went in the hot chair to have a parent talk about them.

We also watched a slide show about each graduating kid.

Where did the time go?
She has been such a pleasure to have in our family!
I am also so excited for her to live the next chapter in her life.
 I feel so blessed and privileged to be her Mom.

Since I occasionally put stuff on our blog that might be embarrassing to some,
I thought I would for once embarrass myself! "Only fair" would my kids say!
Ps: the fall was real!

Return of "the-poor-little-squirrel-who-might-get-lucky"

The screams are from seeing Chloe (who looks like a devil dog) throw him in the air

I'm afraid that this little guy is not going to get lucky; with a fast dignified death.

I think he came back for a second chance at being put out of his misery.

Us girls tried to finish him but we took too long. 

He left probably thinking we were useless!

My daddy would have done the right thing,

by sending him very quickly to squirrel paradise ...

Emric, the only boy here, was still trying to make him feel better

 by throwing at him almonds and cut-up apples.

Somehow he thinks that having a full belly will make his prolonged death better?

PS: This morning, I asked Mike if he's started having nightmares, 

of injured squirrels hunting him yet?

J'ai bien peur que ce petit gas ne va pas avoir la chance 

de recevoir une mort digne et rapide.

Je pense qu'il est revenu pour une autre chance a etre terminer rapidement en toute dignite.

Nous, les filles, on a essaye... sans succes.

Il est partis en pensant que nous etions une bande de filles incompetantes.

Mon Pere aurai fait la chose suivante gentille:  l'envoyer au paradis des ecureuils.

Emric, le seul garcon qui etait la, a essaye de le nourir en lui lancant 

des amandes et des bouts de pommes.

Comme si le fait de lui remplir le ventre rendra sa mort plus agreable?

PS: Ce matin, j'ai demander a Mike s'il n'a pas ete tourmante par des ecureils 

pendant sa nuit?
