Cousins

Justine left us to return to Hawaii early.

She got to spent a few days with family and friends in Salt Lake City before heading back to college.

She had the joy of meeting the youngest addition to the Nakata Family Kaelyn!

Dive Camp and Extended Family Time in Utah

Emric got to go to Utah for a BYU diving camp for a week.

He also hang out with the Browns and my big Brother Jean-Claude and his wife Nat.

He had a lot of fun going to Saint George with them for a few days

 and visit the beautiful southern UtahNational and state parks! 

Oh... how I wish I could have been there too...

The only pictures I have of his trip are these ones Nephi emailed me.

This is the night the guys went out to eat burgers and guy food, 

with Nephi and the one precious little girl Kaelyn.

Polynesian Show 'RA'

We had a fun evening after the Humanitarian Center watching 'RA'

Gave us all a taste of what Justine is going to experience in Hawaii...

LDS Humanitarian Center

On of our Favorite activities in Salt Lake was going to the church Humanitarian Center.

There, we worked for a little over an hour, assembling school kits

 for children around the world less fortunate than us.

We had our own little assembly line.

The boxes in the photo below are all the ones we were able to assemble in that short time! 

(6 kits by in each box)

Everyone wanted to keep going, especially Amelie and Clara.

But we had a schedule to keep, and so did the workers and volunteers there.

Next we were taken for a tour of the premises...

Loved the Mirror!!!! Made us look real skinny!

Humanitarian Service

We were shown and told of how the Church helps people who come form distressed circumstances around the world and how they are given a job here, trained and educated to function in America and help them get a better job. 

I didn't know that this program existed. 

I knew that we help a lot around the world and at home,

 both from our faith and not of our faith alike.

But it really touched me to know and see that donations to our church 

are used in such a way as to bless so many individual lives too...

The Trip Home

As all good things have to come to an end, we took the road back to Texas.

But not without wishing we could have stayed a little longer to spend more time
with friends and family. 

We caravaned again with the Cunninghams;  

which made the trip 100 times more pleasant, especially for the kids!
When the kids are happy, makes me happy!

Comme toute bonne choses on une fin,
nous avons du reprendre la longue route pour le retour au Texas.
Tout en souhaitant avoir eu plus de temps avec famille et amis.
Nous avons a nouveau fait le voyage avec nos amis les Cunninghams;
Ce qui a rendu le voyage mille fois plus agréable, surtout pour les enfants.
Et quand les enfants sont contents, je suis contente!

It's a photographer's paradise!

We had a great time!

Amelie absolutely loved her uncle Nephi and his Bride Thanh

The older I get, the more I want my kids to be around family. 

I have such good memories growing up of visiting my uncles, aunts, cousins, great aunts and such...

Even though the car trip to Salt Lake was very long, it was so worth it. 

Creating bonds and memories is priceless. 

Families are FOREVER! 

More lights on Temple Square

Temple Square Lights

We all met to see the light on Temple Square with Mike's brothers and families. 

Mike's best friend Dave and is wife Tami were also there... 

It was cold but being with family and friends in such a wonderful beautiful place,

 warmed my heart.

Nous nous sommes tous rejoins avec la famille a Mike pour voire les lumieres de Temple Square.

Som Meilleur Amis Dave et sa nouvelle femme etaient aussi au rendez-vous.

Il faisait bien froid, mais d'etre ensemble avec la famille et amis dans un endroit si magnifique m'a bien rechaufe le coeur...

Hot Springs

One evening, we all went to Crystal hot Spring an hour away from Aude's house.
We got there at 6pm and were almost the only ones there...
It was awesome!
Floating in wonderful hot spring water,
looking up at the steam against a cold black sky,
it was all so magical and relaxing...
Having cousins and family to be with was priceless.
The sky on the way there... pretty cool!

Un soir, nous sommes tous aller a des "hot springs" eaux naturels chaude plein de minéraux.
Nous y sommes arrive vers 6 heures et étions presque que les seuls la.
C'était genial!
On flottait dans des eaux super chaude,
regardant la vapeur contre le ciel noir froid,
C'était un moment si magic est si relaxant!
D'être avec les cousins et famille, c'était sans prix!

Weekend in Salt Lake City

Mike and I had the chance of flying into Salt Lake City for a short but wonderful weekend. 

Friday night, we spent the evening with my sister and her family. 

Sophie Johnson came to see us. 

We, the girls, had a lot of fun going through Aude's closet, 

getting ride of old stuff and trying on outfits for Nephi's wedding the next day.

We spent the whole day with Mike's family. 

His sister RuthAnne and brother in law Marc were there too from England. 

As well as his Aunt Shirley from California. 

It had been 16 years since the siblings were all together! 

And what a beautiful occasion to be together than the union of 2 great souls... 

Nephi and Thanh his lovely sweet petite wife! 

have tones of pictures of course, I am working on a blog for them.

Mike et moi avons la chance d'aller a Salt Lake City pour un court,
mais merveilleux week-end.

Vendredi soir, nous l'avons passe avec ma soeur Aude et sa famille.

Sophie Johnson a passe la soiree avec nous aussi. 

Nous, les filles, avons fait le placard d'Aude, a lui debarasse d'habits,
ainsi que d'essayer des ensembles pour le mariage du lendemain.

 Samedi, on a passer toute la journee avec la famille a Mike.

Sa Soeur RuthAnne et beau frere Marc etait la aussi d'Angleterre.
Ainsi que sa tante Shirley, de la Californie.

Cela faisait 16 ans que les enfants etaient tous ensemble.

Et quelle magnifique occasion d'etre reuni pour l'union de 2 grandes ames: Nephi et Thanh.
J'ai plein de photos biensur, je suis en train de leur creer un blog.

Preparing to go To Utah

So excited Mike and I are to go to Salt Lake City today! 

Unfortunately it's only for 2 1/2 days... 

Wish I could stay a little longer...

We are going for Nephi's wedding!
