Week 72 - Trunky, Trio and Transfer

Hey family and friends!

I've had an eventful week!

Monday, we got to go over to DC again! Saw the Washington monument! Went all the way to the top! Saw the temple from it! That was pretty cool. We saw the constitution. And we experienced a little bit of the Holocaust Museum. Also, I also started to lose my voice!! That has never happened to me before! I didn't like it. My voice was raspy all day and by the end it just hurt. Also, we also got to have 3 lessons! Which is tough to on a Monday night when you have 3 hours of proselyting, so that was pretty fortunate. We saw Amethyst and got to visit and teach her! She is amazing and the gospel has changed her life so much.
I am excited for where this new path will take her! God is good :)

Tuesday was Sister Suda's last full day of missionary service!! We packed a lot, had a great district meeting! We saw the Jacobs family! Sister Jacobs took us out to her garden where I got poison ivy 🌿 and, now that I know I'm allergic to it, I paid close attention to learn what it looked like! I will be on my guard now, don't worry.
We got to see a few others and ended at Theresa's and she had bought a cake for Sister Suda! :)

Wednesday me and my two new companions, Sister Brown and Sister Sosa, took Sister Suda down to the temple so she could go to the departing missionary temple session. And since the three of us were there we also got to go to the session! :D I love the temple! It's incredible that I am now in the same mission that the temple is in! In the month of July I have been down to the temple/visitors center area 6 times. This has definitely been the weirdest transfer! Normally we are rarely allowed to go and never able to drive ourselves. A lot of changes, a lot of meetings, a lot of unexpected things! But it's been an adventure and I've loved it. I love my new companions! So together we are covering the Odenton ward and the Fort Meade ward!  Once we got back after the temple it was just "go go go." We had a lunch appointment and 2 dinners. Thankfully, the last dinner appointment fell through a little and she just packed the dinner and gave it so we didn't have to eat it that day!

Thursday was good! It was Sister Brown's halfway mark! The members who fed us dinner found out and we got to sing to her "happy 9 month!" 🎉

Friday we made a trip down to the DC Stake center and Sister Sosa went to the trainer meeting!! She's having a new missionary! And let me tell you, being around all those DC missionaries was weird...its pretty easy to feel like an outcast, people don't know you and you don't know them yet they know everyone else around you. There is a different culture you aren't used to. It is weird. But it's going to be an adventure figuring it out! Then we went to Café Rio! 🌯 and we also went and visited some members in the Odenton and Fort Meade wards!

Saturday we went to Fort Meade's pancake breakfast in honor of Pioneer Day! (A holiday celebrated in Utah) There were pancakes made with skittles...not my favorite but very interesting. They had this little bike race thing and the Ward Mission Leader of the Ft Meade Ward has an adorable daughter and we made some bike decorations for her! Duct tape and hair-ties was all we needed!

Then we got to see sweet Amethyst! And we taught her about trusting God and praying to ask for strength to help her through these hard times.

Sunday we got to have 6 hours of church!! Woot woot!! We are also still planning on Chelsea getting baptized next Sunday after church! We stopped by Madaney and got to talk with her for the first time in over a week! She is seeking truth and I am so excited for her to find out this is it :)

We also got transfer news! Sister Brown is leaving Annapolis zone and venturing out into the DC north original zones! Hermana Dahle will also be leaving! But I am very excited for their new adventure and call to serve in their new areas! Sister Sosa is staying in Odenton with a new missionary and I am staying in Odenton with someone! We haven't found out yet who our new companions are! But it is official I am finishing my mission where I started! I am very grateful for this opportunity serve and to help these people progress :)

Have a WONDERFUL week!

Sister Nakata ❤️
