Texas Tradition - Home Coming - Early Seminary

Emric's first Home Coming Dance.
With his very first girlfriend.
He was quite the happy guy and very handsome!

This group of kids did the traditional High School Home coming stuff.
Photos - with all the parents there snapping away.
Dinner - somewhere expensive where they only eat half of their food.
Dance - for a very short time because the dancing gets nasty.
Party - at one of the kids house with finger food, pool, games and movie.

Part of the Texas Home Coming tradition is the boys make tacky "Texas mums & garters"
They actually ware them to school the day before!
I drew a line there,  not doing it!
These can cost a lot of money whether you buy from a professional "mum maker" or make it yourself!

I did make the little corsage and boutonniere for them, and took photos.

Most of these kids are in Mike's Seminary Class.
Yes! I forgot to mention that Mike is now teaching early morning Seminary at 5:50am!
Every day before High School starts.

For a night owl it's been an adjustment, but he has done beautifully!
I was very very worried about him being on time and there before his kids!
For those who know him, he does have a reputation of being too often late.
He does not get a lot of sleep with his very heavy work schedule.
We don't see him much.
When he is home, he is constantly thinking about them and how to teach them.
He has been strengthened many times for his diligent service.
He loves these kids!
