Little Oasis

Near St George we dropped off Camille's friend at her Grandma's vacation home. 

We were invited to swim in the little oasi in their back yard, while Danny and Aude set up camp.

It was awesome! 

The kids had so much fun!

So, I kept telling the kids
"look how beautiful this is!!!"

They were watching a movie on a laptop! 

Go figure?

Je faisais que de dire au ados:
"Regardez come c'est beau!"
Ils preferaient regarder un film sur le portable!!!!
Ahhhh... Les ados? 

The Valley of Fire

Desert Road

After a week in Vegas, we took to the road again direction Utah!

Utah is a beautiful State.

I was so happy to be going to Zion's and Brice canyon... 

I've been wanting to go back there for over 15 years!

2 of my favorite places on earth!

Apres une semaine a Vegas, j'etais bien contente de prendre la direction de l'Utah!

Utah est un super bel Etat.

J'etais bien contente de retourner a Zion et Brice Canyon...

Cela fait plus de 15 ans que je voulais y retourner!

2 de mes endroits prefere au monde!

Lake Mead

So, the one place I would have liked to go, I wasn't able to!

Danny and the big kids went to Lake Mead. 

Emric, Celine, Corentin and Justine. 

They rented a boat and did some tubing not far from Las Vegas.

Mike, Amelie, Clara and I were going to meet them during the last hour of the boat rental, 

but unfortunately Mike got to working and we left a little too late, 

to make matters worse, we drove 30mn in the opposite direction away from the lake.

So we ended up bagging it and went to see Brave with the girls.

A very cute show, by the way!

Un des endroit que j'aurais bien aime visiter; 

 le lac Mead en dehors de Las Vegas, 

mais je n'ai pas pu!

Danny et les ados y sont aller faire du bateau.

Emric, Celine, Corentin et Justine.

Mike, Amelie, Clara et moi allions les rejoindre pour la derniere heure de louage du bateau.

Malheureusement, Mike a travaille un peux trop longtemps, 

et pour empirer les choses, on n'a pris le mauvais chemain.

Donc a la place, nous sommes alles voir "Brave" au Cine.

C'est un beau petit film!

I loved the little resort we stayed in. 

J'ai bien aime le "Resort" ou on etait.

The Strip

One thing we did a lot of was walking, in the Nevada heat, up and down the strip!

To the delight of all the kids!

This is where people try to hand you nasty show advertisements.

They got quite a few 

'don't-you-dare-hand-your-garbage-to-me-my-kids-or-my-husband' looks 

from moi!

No one dared!

But they were all over the ground!

Une chose que l'on a fait beaucoup: marcher sur le strip dans la chaleur du Nevada.

Les enfants etaient enchanter!

Ici, c'est ou on essaye de vous donner des prospectus pas saint.

Ils on recu pas mal de regard de ma part qui disaient:

'T'as-pas-interet-de-donner-cette-salete-a-moi-mes-enfant-ou-mon-mari!'

Persone n'a ose!

Mais il y en avait plein par-terre! 

Blue Man Group at the Venetian

We only did a couple of kid friendly Shows.

We all went to see Mac King an affordable/magic/comedy Show 

 Aude and Danny went on a date to see Celine Dion.

After Celine Dion, 

Aude and Danny met up with me to walk around the Venetian Casino Streets with me.

While Mike took all the kids to the Blue Man Group,

This show was so expensive, I couldn't bring myself to pay for one more ticket!

I think if I had to choose a favorite Casino, the Venetian would be it!

Nous sommes allez voir 2 spectacles approprie aux enfants.

On a vu un Mac King show de magic/comedie

Aude et Danny sont allez voir Celine Dion en concert.

Apres leur concert, ils m'ont rejoind au Casino Venetian, 

ou nous nous sommes promener dans ses rues bien sympatic.

Pendant que Mike a emmener les enfants voir Le Blue Man Group.

C'estait trop cher, je n'y suis pas aller ne voulant pas rajouter un ticket sur la grosse facture!

 Je croix que si je devait choisir un Casino prefere, ce serait le Venetian.

The Bellagio Water Show

I can't remember the name of this Casino, and it's OK...

Anyhow, there are so many, all luxurious, 

HUGE (like 'I'm gonna get lost' huge) and glamorous. 

These pictures are inside one of those many Casinos...

This one had a flower garden inside, 

among many stores & the gambling machines and tables

(you ALWAYS have to work your way through them no matter were you go!) 

I found it so confusing working my way through them!

But at least you were not handed nasty flyers and advertisement for porn clubs like on the strip.

As I said, Las Vegas is not my favorite town to say the least.

But here are a few pictures of us and cool stuff.

Il y a tellement de Casino, tous du grand luxe, 

ENORME (comme; 'je vais me perdre' emorme!) 

et glamoureux.

Ces photos etaient dans un de ces Casino...

Celui-ci avait un jardin plein de belles fleurs,

parmis tous les magasins et les machines a sous et les tables a jouer.

Dont il fallait TOUJOURS les traverser pour aller n'importe ou!

Je me suis trouvee bien désorienté a chaque fois!

Mais au moins on ne nous donnais pas de prospectus de photos bien disagreeable 

pour des club de porno, comme sur le 'Strip' (dans la rue)

Comme je l'ai dejas dit, Las Vegas n'est pas ma ville preferee!

Mais voici quelques photos de nous et de chose sympa.
