Hot Springs

One evening, we all went to Crystal hot Spring an hour away from Aude's house.
We got there at 6pm and were almost the only ones there...
It was awesome!
Floating in wonderful hot spring water,
looking up at the steam against a cold black sky,
it was all so magical and relaxing...
Having cousins and family to be with was priceless.
The sky on the way there... pretty cool!

Un soir, nous sommes tous aller a des "hot springs" eaux naturels chaude plein de minéraux.
Nous y sommes arrive vers 6 heures et étions presque que les seuls la.
C'était genial!
On flottait dans des eaux super chaude,
regardant la vapeur contre le ciel noir froid,
C'était un moment si magic est si relaxant!
D'être avec les cousins et famille, c'était sans prix!

The Insane Salt Lake City Drive

 

 I got talked into driving to Salt Lake City for Thanksgiving! 

It's a 25 hour drive: 2 days there and 2 days back, driving all day!

I would have not gone if it were not for another family driving with us. 

They had a minivan and most of the time our kids were with them. 

So it ended up being a pleasant drive (If you know what I mean). 

We also had 3 drivers per car. 

I ended up driving only 2 hours each day, but I sure did a lot of reading.
I finished The Help (awesome).
And read Ellen Foster, all of it!

I miss the Fall in Ohio

 

I did find a few colors in the greenbelt behind our house,
but no way near the colors we find in Ohio...

I've been walking Chloe there because 

Jones Forest is closed to the public for major logging and cleaning up.

Yep, Emric is 15 today!!!
Friday night, He went to a movie with dad,
followed by a little surprise-pizza-movie-game-party
 at home with a few friends.
Justine made him a Star wars Bd cake.
Today I made his favorite clam chowder soup

At the zoo

Every 1st Tuesday of the month the Houston Zoo opens its doors at 2pm for free until close.

So we got the little ones and headed down town for a fun trip to the ZOO!

Halloween

So I wish I had a better picture of Luke, my little nephew! 

Lina got him all dressed up in a little Basket Ball player outfit. 

Anyhow, as we were doing Amelie's make-up, 

Lina decided to write in Black on Luke's forehead 'Basket' 

I saw nothing wrong with it until the next day!

In French we say 'Basket' for 'Basketball'

No wonder the neighbors were asking what was written on his forehead!

They were probably wondering why on earth the poor kid had that written on his head!!!

Wow!!! Did we laugh about it for days! 

I'm still laughing as I write this post!!!!

J'aurais bien aimer avoir une photo de Luke!

Lina a habille Luke dans un petit ensemble de BasketBall.

Sur son front elle a écrit 'Basket'

J'en a rien penser. 

Mais le lendemain, j'ai réalise!

'Basket' ici veux dire 'panier' 

C'eat pas étonnant que les voisins on demande ce qui etait écrit sur son front?

Ils se sont certainement demande pourquoi le petit avait le mot 'panier' sur sa tete!!!

Qu'est-ce que l'on a rigole!!! 

J'en rigole encore en écrivant ce post!!!
